Sometimes one must wonder if sports are real or fixed. That is a portion of what author Daniel Archangel deals with in this well written book, "Seventh Game." He is known in the book as "Kid". The book begins by sharing about kid's life as a little boy and how he got involved in sports, especially baseball. There are many difficulties that the Kid faces but he presses on to fulfill his lifelong dream. I really enjoyed reading about baseball both in the minors as well as the majors. This book provided exciting story lines as well as ups and downs of the life of a baseball player.
There was a great portion of the book given to the players, directors and network personal that may have caused championships and World Series games to the "Seventh Game" bringing in additional money for everyone because of the extra, ads that are sold, tickets, merchandise, etc... While Dan gives great insight into both sides of the discussion, for many it will be left with speculation rather than a for certain answer.
If you are looking for a baseball book that will provide entertainment then I feel you will enjoy this book.
