I liked the cover and enjoyed the story about swimming and the need for endurance however not being a swimmer I got somewhat bored with that example concerning the length of it's discussion. I really wanted to give up on the book but am so glad I didn't. I probably would have given the book two stars until I hit chapter 15 and chapters 15, 16 and 17 were out of this world and would deserve five stars so I'm giving the book an overall four star rating.
I enjoyed the depth, meat and personal application of these three chapters and think it would benefit so many within the Christian community.
While I didn't care for the cover of the book, the information contained within the covers is very insightful and thought provoking.
Andy deals with how we view ourselves and how that view effects everything we do as well as everyd one around us. He gives solutions of how we can view things in a positive manner and leave the negative thinking behind.
Chapter Six is worth the price of the book as there is a lot of meat that one can take from the words found within.
I would say minus the dull cover the material found within is certainly worth one's time and energy to explore.

When I received this book I was taken back at the size of it and somewhat overwhelmed, but after beginning to read the material it wasn't an easy book to put down. I found it to be very soul searching and enriching. I would recommend this book for any church with a recovery program. I think it would be a very resourceful tool to help bring balance, healing and life to the life of an individual, family, church, etc....
I welcome the opportunity to read more of Steve Arterburn's material as more become available.
